McCollum has been a volunteer Wiccan Chaplain for several decades and now wants the California correctional system to hire him.
The CDCR limits chaplaincy positions to five faiths: Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim and Native American.
According to a blog called "Californnia Correctional Crisis," McCollum's case was defeated in the District Court, for a preliminary issue of standing. The District Court decided that McCollum lacked standing and could therefore not sue CDCR; the only people with standing to sue in such matters are current inmates, not people looking to be hired for a position.
The Circle Sanctuary in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, where McCollum has been ordained as a minister, has a Patrick McCollum page on their Web site asking Wiccans to send "healing, strength, protection, and support to Patrick McCollum in his quest for equal rights for Pagans in his federal court case involving prison chaplaincy."

Title: Wiccans in Government, Part 1
***
American federal and state governments now recognize Wicca as a religion.
I wonder if government officials understand:
- Wiccans practice ceremonial magic from previous centuries and they worship a "horned" god with various names that include Cernunnos, Pan, Atho and Karnayna. Some Wiccans refer to their horned god as "Satan."
- Wiccans use an inverted pentagram in their ceremonies.
- The concept of having a religion that worshipped a horned god was devised by an Egyptologist named Margaret Murray in the 1920s [See my note posted on 3/14/10, titled, "Blue Sirians Who Pose as God").
Patrick McCollum: First Wiccan Chaplain in Government
Patrick McCollum, a jewelry designer, was the first Wiccan Chaplain to be recognized by government [See: photos at left].
Due to his work as a Wiccan minister, I thought Patrick's jewelry designs might contain images of dragons or pentacles. I searched the Web and found pictures of his designs on his Courting the Lady Web site [see below].
Courting the Lady, A Wiccan Journey is the title of Patrick's book about his role as a high priest and initiate in one of the country's oldest covens. His site says that he has "worked diligently to keep alive the mysteries and magic passed down by witches through oral tradition for centuries," that he has been active as a teacher of the old ways for over forty years and that he is known for his prison ministry work.
In 1997, Patrick became the first government recognized Wiccan chaplain in the United States. He currently advises numerous state and federal agencies on Wiccan religious practices and is a member of the American Correctional Chaplains Association.
Patrick's Silver Oil Container Design [See Photo] Patrick's site and his Wikipedia page say he has:
- Won 14 national awards for jewelry design and that he is an internationally recognized master goldsmith.
- Made pieces for the President of the United States [belt buckle, Ronald Reagan], the Queen of England, and forty movie stars including Larry Hagman, Meg Ryan, and Russell Crowe.
- Sold his designs to high-profile stores in the United States and Europe.
Photo: [Right] This sterling silver sacred oil container, designed by Patrick, is used by Patrick's coven. The description from Patrick's site says that the serpent on the side of the container is created in the shape of the rune of wisdom and is positioned so as to symbolically bite the person obtaining the oil -- in order to impart the wisdom of the ancients.
Notes:
- Runic letters are used to write various Germanic languages that evolved from the Phoenician alphabet which evolved from Egyptian hieroglyphs used by the ancient Egyptians.
- Runes not only represent letters but are also thought to represent deities, qualities, events, and forces.
- Runes exist in many cultures including the Chinese culture. In my note posted on 3/13/10, titled, "The Sirius Mystery and Water Beings," there's an image of Fuxi and Cang Jing, the Fish-Tailed Founders of China, who created the system of the Book of Changes, also called the I-Ching [modern systems of runic divination are based on Hermeticism, classical occultism, and the I Ching].
Three authors [Schonberger, Yan and Walter] have written books about the mathematical connection between the sixty-four hexagrams of the I Ching and the 64 possible codes that occur in the genetic code for the linking of amino acids in RNA and DNA [Image: Dr. Martin Schonberger's book].
The I Ching, developed by the fish-tailed founders of China, is based on system of eight trigrams that was later developed into 64 hexagrams. The trigrams of the I Ching are related to five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal and water) that have correspondences in astronomy, astrology, geography, geomancy, anatomy, the family, and elsewhere. The Chinese bagua used in Feng Shui, the system of aesthetics believed to attract positive chi, is based on the I Ching's eight trigrams [the number of Feng Shui books at any Barnes and Noble store is an indication of how deeply the "water beings" have infiltrated our society].
- Belief in runic power was strong among the German soldiers during World War I. This was because secret chiefs of a runic society called the Germanen Order, signed their names in runic characters. Members sold amuletic bronze rune rings to solders for protection and yodelled during yoga-like exercises to release a rune's mystical powers.
- A Germanic version of the runes was created by the Norse God Odin, a "sky god."
- In Sumeria, Assyria and Babylonia, ANU was a "sky god."
- The swastika is a rune called Mjoelhir that is associated with the hammer of Thor, the Norse god of thunder [ENLIL's son NINUTA is the god of thunder].
- Heinrich Himmler used the sig or S rune as the trademark of the "Schutzstaffel," or the SS.
- The Religion Facts Web site says that the swastika is a symbol of the Hindu god Visnu. In my note posted on 3/14/10, titled "Blue Sirians Who Pose as God", there are ten images of Visnu who was blue in all of his incarnations [Sirians are blue].
[From Mary Jo] The Sirian/Reptilians use multiple identities to confuse humans.
McCollum's Wiccan Connections
The Wicca religion is organized into covens of initiated priests and priestesses. McCollum is a Wiccan minister who was initiated into Wicca in 1966 and ordained as a Wiccan minister by the Cauldron of Cerridwen in 1971. He has also been ordained as a Wiccan minister by several other Pagan organizations including:
Photo: Sterling Silver and Carnelian Adare Knot Pentagram Pendant designed by Patrick McCollum.
Notes:
- Covenant of the Goddess and the Circle Sanctuary, where Patrick has been ordained as a Wiccan minister, both deny that they worship Satan. Although the Circle Sanctuary's Web site does not refer to a horned god, the Covenant of the Goddess site refers to their pre-Christian horned god as Pan, Gaul or Cernunnos.
Wiccan pages all over the Web make a connection between the horned god and members of ENKI's family:
- Pagan News: Cernunnos
Cernunnos, also known as Herne the Hunter, belonged to the Celtic "pantheon of gods." He is portrayed as seated, having horns and is associated with Mercury [Mercury is Hermes/Thoth's Roman identity].
- Trident: Cernunnos
Most of the Trident page is about Satan. It says that Cernunnos was ENLIL to the Celts. ENLIL is ENKI's brother and their entire family used multiple identities.
- McCollum serves as the National Prison Chaplaincy Affairs Coordinator for the Lady Liberty League, and is the Director of Public Chaplaincy for Cherry Hill Seminary.
- The Lady Liberty League was formed by Circle Sanctuary founder Selena Fox in 1985 as a "religious freedom support group for Wiccans, Pagans, and other Nature religions practitioners worldwide."
-
The Cherry Hill Seminary, founded in 1997, is a Web-based educational institution for Pagan teachers, ministers and clergy. The school was formed in Bethel, Vermont by Kirk White and later relocated to Columbia, South Carolina. The seminary employs more than twenty full-time or part-time faculty and grants master's of divinity degrees. Courses include chaplaincy in prisons or military institutions, how to craft a wedding, building a pagan community, comparative religion, history of religion, congregation administration, grant writing and fund raising. Cherry Hill Seminary is actively seeking accreditation from the Distance Education and Training Council [DETC] and the Association of Theological Schools [ATS].
- Irminsul [from McCollum's list of Wiccan connections] refers to both a pillar in the Germanic paganism of the Saxon people as well as a location in Germany that was considered to be the seat of their religion [near Obermarsberg, Germany].
Prisoners Are Attracted to Paganism
McCollum was recognized as a Wiccan chaplain by California's state government in 1997 after the settlement of a law suit involving a Wiccan inmate. After the settlement, the California Attorney General's Office asked McCollum to serve as a [volunteer] Wiccan chaplain, making him the first government-recognized Wiccan chaplain.
McCollum's biography on Wikipedia says he has served as a non-salaried statewide correctional chaplain for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Notes:
- The National Prison Kindred [NPKA] organization listed in McCollum's Wikipedia biography is very active in prison outreach ministry. NPKA is a division of the Northern Way Asatru Ministries [NWAM]. Both organizations are modern forms of Germanic paganism that Mattias Gardell, a Swedish scholar of comparative religions and a specialist on religions extremism, says are converting whole prison gangs to paganism.
- A blog called ReligionNews, that has aggragated Associated Press articles about Asatru, has re-published the following stories:
- Charleston North Carolina's The Post and Courier "Pagan religion Asatru gains kindred among prison population" (July 24, 2006).
- Tuscaloosa, Alabama's Tuscaloosa News, "Court says prisoner not entitled to Odinism rituals" (October 2, 2007). Odinism is an ancient religion dedicated to the gods of the Norse pantheon. Odinists also refer to themselves as Heathens or followers of Asatru.
Comments From Mary Jo ...
I was planning to include information about Wiccans at the Air Force Academy but it's too much information for this note [look for a Wicca in Government, Part 2].
I believe that there are several interrelated groups who are trying to steer humans [especially young people] away from God. I also believe that these groups are controlled by an advanced race who maneuver and control:
- the economy
- wars
- energy
- friction between races
- who is successful and who is not
- response to pollution
- the news media [entertainment reports instead of news]
- the publishing industry
- the entertainment industry
- government
- weather [a severe hurricane season is predicted for the end of 2010]
Your help is desperately needed with Prayers.

p.s. While I was in a coffee shop this week, I overheard a woman next to me talking to two of her friends about her pastor's campaign against witchcraft. I spoke to her just before she left and she said her pastor [a Lutheran minister] is involved with witchcraft cases all over the country. In Arizona, the minister worked on a case that involved a couple who were having an affair. They asked a ouija board if they should kill their spouses and if they did, would they get away with their murders. The ouija board answered "yes" to both questions and they killed their spouses. Fortunately, they were caught and they are now in prison. The woman in the coffee shop said that her pastor has told the congregation that satan worshippers have targeted young people.
I was amazed by the conversation in the coffee shop. Very few of my friends seem to believe that there is a threat that exists. I believe they think I'm crazy. I'm not crazy. I read a lot and I have a memory for details.
