Image: Abe Sapien, a Dark Horse Comics character. Fictional biography from Wikipedia:

Sapien began life as Langdon Everett Caul, a Victorian scientist and businessman who became involved with the Oannes Society, an occult organization who believed in life and all knowledge having come from the sea. After retrieving a strange jellyfish-like deity from an underwater ruin, Caul and the other members performed an arcane ritual that inadvertently ended with the creature's release and Caul being turned into an icthyo sapien. Believing him to be Oannes reborn, the society sealed the developing icthyo sapien's body in a tube of water in the hidden laboratory beneath a Washington, D.C. hospital until such time as he was fully formed.

Note from Mary Jo [8/09/10]
Title: The Oannes Trail: Real Life Is As Strange As Fiction

At the end of my last note, I said I would explore the connection between ENKI and Oannes.

A Google search on "Oannes" and "Comics" returns a Dark Horse Comics page that explains that an Oannes Society was formed by a splinter group of dissidents of the Heliopic Brotherhood of Ra [or "HBR" formed in 1729 by a fictional French textile merchant named Eugene Remy to preserve the teachings of a being named Larzod who Remy encountered under the Great Pyramid in 1728]:

...two separate groups argued over the origins of the god Atum on which the other side that formed the Society steadfastly believed that Atum was "born from the sea." Since then the Oannes Society became a rival to the HBR and maintains that life and all knowledge having come from the sea. But, the Society fares little members in comparison to the Heliopic Brotherhood of Ra. Among their members was Langdon Everett Caul, whose underwater sea-exploring caused his transformation into Abe Sapien. Right after Sapien's transformation, the Society believed him to be the embodiment of Oannes and kept him in a preservation tank.

The Oannes of Babylonia
In my note titled, "Robert Temple's book, The Sirius Mystery, Part 2," [3/12/10], I explained that one of ENKI's many names is Oannes as described by a Babylonian priest named Berossus, an aquaintance of Aristotle's:

Robert Temple's Appendix II contains an English translation of the surviving fragments of lost Babylonian history written in Greek by a Babylonian priest named Berossus, an aquaintance of Aristotle's.

Berossus describes a group of amphibious beings who founded their civilization and the main individual's name was Oannes. Oannes is one of many names that ENKI uses. Robert Temple has made this connection and has added six images of ENKI/Oannes in his book. Note: ENKI and his family are hermaphrodites. Notice that the creature in this image [above] has breasts. Abe/Oannes in Hellboy Films
Abe Sapien/Oannes has appeared in two Hellboy films produced by Dark Horse's film arm, Dark Horse Entertainment. A third Hellboy film is planned for 2012.

Hellboy [right] is a demon who was brought to Earth as an infant by Nazi occultists, discovered by Allied forced and raised by the United States Army. As an adult, Hellboy works for a non-governmental agency called the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense [BPRD] dedicated to combating occult threats. Hellboy is one of several supernatural entities working for the BPRD that also includes amphibean Abe Sapien.

Note: Sirian posers [in this case posers who influence Hollywood], like to pretend that they are always combating evil.

The Elven [or Elfin] Race in Hellboy II
This next part of the Abe/Oannes picture is where the story gets very weird and connected to real life. So far, the Abe/Oannes connection could be explained as simply a comic book plot that is borrowed from pieces of Babylonian history -- maybe even a story created by a writer who read Robert Temple's book, The Sirius Mystery that was published in 1987.

However, the Hellboy II story [soon to be a trilogy] takes a strange turn when the Elven [or Elfin] race is introduced. Although elves are tied to the fictional Dungeons and Dragons [fantasy, role-playing game introduced in 1974] as well as the Lord of the Rings tradition, they're also a race or subculture in neopaganism that is considered to be the country's fastest growing religion.

Notes:

  • In my note titled, "Bram Stoker [And Surprises That Turned Up]" [3/10/10], I explained that Lord of the Rings author J.R.R. Tolkien [1892-1973] and The Chronicles of Narnia author C.S. Lewis [1898-1963] were rumored to have been connected to the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.

  • Elf images from Dungeons and Dragons and Tolkien's work are not blue. Tolkien completed the Lord of the Rings in 1948. The Chronicles of Narnia were written between 1949 and 1954 -- perhaps early in what appears to be a well-orchestrated plan to influence the book publishing and entertainment industries.

Image: [above, right] Elf prince named Legolas [right] from the Lord of the Rings.

  • A blogger named Beaulee raves about Elven Prince Nuada in Hellboy II [shown in the blue photo above with a spear], and says he's not at all like the goody goody Legolas of Middle Earth [Lord of the Rings] calling Nuada "dark and vampiric."

  • Recent children's films seem to have many characters with supernatural powers. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader will be released on December 10, 2010.

Nuada's Twin: Princess Nuala
Prince Nuada's twin, named Nuala, becomes romantically involved with the amphibean Abe Sapien. A Hellboy II fan named "Lady Scale" of "Lizard Scale Productions" created a music video with clips of these two characters that includes scenes from the movie.

Image: [right] Nuala, called the "Elf Princess of the Underworld," is played by actress Anna Walton. The relationship Nuala has with her twin has been called incestuous. [From Wikipedia's Incest in Popular Culture Entry]:

In Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Prince Nuada (Luke Goss) harbors romantic feelings for his twin sister, princess Nuala (Anna Walton), as noted by Luke, "There is an incestuous relationship that's not maybe overly obvious to everybody, but some people hopefully will pick up on the fact, certainly from my direction towards her."

Note: Although it's odd that Wikipedia's entry on incest in popular culture contains a note about Hellboy II, ENKI and his family are known for marrying their siblings.

Walton's and Jones' Other Roles
Strangely, actress Anna Walton's other roles have been in Vampire Diary and Mutant Chronicles. Actor Doug Jones, who plays Abe Sapien, also played Pan in Pan's Labyrinth.

Note: Pan's Labyrinth is a 2006 Spanish language fantasy film, written and directed by Mexican film-maker Guillermo del Toro. Del Toro co-wrote and directed Hellboy [2004] as well as the sequel, Hellboy II: The Golden Army [2008].

In my note titled, "Blue-skinned, Fish-Tailed and ET Deities, Part 4" [6/18/10], I explained that Pan is considered to be the son of Zeus and Hybris that would make him equivalent to Thoth/Hermes [Zeus is one of ENKI's alternate names and Thoth/Hermes is ENKI's son].

ENKI = ZEUS [father]

Thoth/Hermes = PAN [son]

In 1933, the Egyptologist Margaret Murray published the book, The God of the Witches, in which she theorized that Pan was one form of the horned god worshipped by witches.

In Wicca, the horned god is represented by deities Cernunnos and Greek Pan. Note: ENKI and his brother ENLIL share the nickname Satan who also has horns. Apparently, the whole family has identities with horns. The Wikipedia Entry for Ninhursag or Ninmah [ENKI's wife and THOTH's mother] says she is "typically depicted wearing a horned head-dress."

Otherkin: A Community of Non-Human Selves
The Internet has evolved a group or subculture called “Otherkin” that sprung up on UseNet in the 1980s. Note: Usenet is a text-based threaded Internet discussion system that pre-dates today's Internet groups or forums.

Otherkin groups have evolved to include Web portals, Wikis, Meetups and dating sites for people who believe that they have a part [mental or spiritual] of themselves that is not human.

Otherkin identify with vampires, weres [werewolves], demons, angels, fae [also known as fairies], elves and dragons.

Image: [above, right] Photo from John Morehead's blog entry titled, "The Otherkin: Fantastic Texts, Pop Culture, and Neo-Religiosity" from his blog called "Theofantastique." This photo did not have a caption. I wonder how this young woman managed to apply a blue tint to her skin.

Notes:

  • On John Morehead's "About Theofantastique" page, John explains that "Theo" comes from the Greek word for god [God's name is capitalized -- so I assume that John is referring to what I call imposter gods].

  • I had to look up the word neoreligiosity. It refers to "fan practice" or a "cult." Although John uses this word in reference to Otherkin, the gods of Wicca are a pantheon that Wiccans worship in place of God who is the Deity of conventional religions.

  • An IndigoSociety Thread titled, "Indigos as Faeries, Starseeds/Aliens, Angels, Otherkin, etc." contains posts from members who say they do not feel they have a human soul.

  • The Otherkin Dating site is owned by an Elven, the most common type of Otherkin. In the world of Otherkin, elvins are defined as elves, dwarves, pixies, and halflings.

  • Meetup.com lists 34 Otherkin groups around the world, most are vampire groups—and most are located in the United States. The cities with the largest groups of people who believe they are real vampires include Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Melbourne, Houston and Toronto.

Your Help Is Needed

I believe that synthetic life can be manipulated.

One of the requests in Prayer 2 on this site asks God to "Please Convert synthetic life to natural God-created versions -- anywhere in the galaxy."

This is a very large request that requires the help of many people.

The growing numbers of people who are attracted to Wicca and Otherkin will not be interested in reciting the Prayers on this site.

Directions for reciting Prayers at Sun Rise and Sun Down are on this site's Home Page. Please help.
