Title: Blue-Skinned Aliens of TV, Animation and Comics
This note presents evidence that a blue-skinned race of aliens known as the Sirians have influenced the writers and artists in television, at Disney Animation Studios, and at DC Comics. What started as a note to describe the blue Genie in Disney's Aladdin led to a trail of much more.
Earlier this week, I went to see a documentary called Waking Sleeping Beauty about the strife that existed at Disney Studios from 1984 to 1994 [Released March, 2010, directed and narrated by Disney insider Don Hahn]. Walt Disney's Aladdin [1992] was one of the animations featured in the documentary. I had never seen Aladdin and for the first time, I saw that the genie is blue [above right].
Were Genies Always Blue?
When I typed "genie" and "photo" into Google, 5,660,000 images were returned. The first few pages contained mostly blue genies except for a photo of Barbara Eden who played a 2,000 year-old genie in a 1965 sitcom called I Dream of Jeannie. Jeannie was not blue, but there was a blue genie in the sitcom's plot.
A section called "Jeannie's origin" on the "I Dream of Jeannie" Wikipedia page says that Jeannie was originally a human who was turned into a genie by a Blue Djinn when she refused to marry him. Note: Djinn or Jinn is Arabic for Genie. This backstory about Jeannie's origins was continued through season two but in season three, the writers retroactively made a change in the plotline and made her non-human. However, in a 1985 made for TV movie, Jeannie relays a story about the "evil djinn" who turned her into a genie.

I was startled to read about Jeannie's origin in the Wikipedia summary. I was in 5th grade in 1965 and I remember watching I Dream of Jeannie. The page summary says that re-runs are still being aired around the world!

February, 2010 Post About the Jinn
In February 2010, I typed "human alien hybrid into Yahoo Groups and found a group called "Jinn" with a group description that I added to Prayer Page Two [see content in the left column]:
They [Jinn or Djinn] are a species of intelligent beings who live secretly among us. They often appear humanoid or even human, but they possess amazing powers that we lack. They can change their shapes, and can even render themselves invisible.
Note: Be sure to click on the other links [on Prayer Page Two] to human alien hybrid groups at Yahoo. For example, the Star Kids Hangout is a group for children ages 1-18 who came from "extraterrestrial hybridized reproductive material."

Young Richard Eyer Was Not Blue
In 1958, a young actor named Richard Eyer [right] played a genie named Barani in a film called The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad produced by Columbia Pictures. Although Barani's skin is not blue, the sorcerer in the film, named Sokurah, has blue highlights around his eyes.

Strangely, in 2008, The 7th Voyage of Sinbad was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."

The Story of Aladdin [1709 to 1992]
Aladdin is one of the tales in The Book of One Thousand and One Nights (also known as Arabian Nights), and one of the most famous.
It is interesting to note that the the tales were collected over many centuries by various authors and translators across the Middle East and North Africa. The tales' roots can be traced to ancient and medieval Arabia, Persia, India, Egypt and Mesopotamia.

Comment From Mary Jo
We've seen that stories about blue-skinned genies with supernatural powers can be traced to Egypt and Mesopotamia. The stories were inserted into literature and entertainment starting in the 1700s.
Readers who have been following the notes I've been posting know that an ET named ENKI, a Sirian/Orion/Reptilian, splashed down with family members in Mesopotamia. Due to their advanced powers, ENKI, his wife, his brother and his son became imposter deities all over the world.

Green Lantern's Blue ETs
The YouTube trailer for the 2011 Green Lantern film is currently being shown in theaters and has clips of two blue-skinned aliens. The trailer is narrated by an alien known as Abin Sur who crash lands on Earth and recruits Hal Jordan, the film's main character, as his replacement.

Because the Sirians seem to influence Hollywood, I Googled "Green Lantern" and found a Wikipedia page that provides background information about this comic book series [or, franchise?].
Note: Strangely, in addition to the Green Lantern release that's scheduled for July 17, 2011, there is also a Green Hornet film that will be released in January, 2011.
The Green Lantern is a DC Comics superhero. The Green Hornet is a comic book superhero created by a competitor of DC Comics that started out as character on a radio program in the 1930s.

Green Lantern's Guardians
The magic ring worn by Green Lanterns is a technological creation of a group called the "Guardians of the Universe," a detail that provides a clues that the Green Lantern was inspired by the Sirians.
[Wikipedia] Each Green Lantern possesses a power ring that gives the user great control over the physical world as long as the wielder has sufficient willpower and strength to wield it. The ring is one of the most powerful weapons in the universe, and can be very dangerous. While the ring of the Golden Age Green Lantern (Alan Scott) was magically powered, the rings worn by all subsequent Lanterns were technological creations of the Guardians of the Universe, who granted such rings to worthy candidates. These individuals made up the intergalactic police force known as the Green Lantern Corps.
Guardians of the Universe is a link to a Wikipedia page. The page contains an illustration of the Guardians and explains that they are an extraterrestrial race called the Oans:
The Guardians of the Universe, alternately known as the Oans, are a fictional blue-skinned extraterrestrial race in the DC Comics universe. They first appeared in Green Lantern Vol. 2 #1 (July 1960), and were created by John Broome and Gil Kane.
Within the Green Lantern stories, the Guardians of the Universe are the immortal founders and leaders of the Green Lantern Corps, which they administer from their homeworld Oa at the center of the universe.
In "What's the Difference Between the Green Lantern and the Green Hornet?" author Kyle Buchanan tells us:
Whoever wears the ring becomes the Green Lantern, and there have been several different Lanterns through the character's history. Reynolds will be playing Hal Jordan, a test pilot given the ring by crash-landed alien Abin Sur.
In a blog called "No Evil Shall Escape My Dice," Blogger John Jones from Illinois writes about the Green Lantern and provides a clue that Green Lantern writers have worked Sirius into the story when he says:
Well, here we are in the gravitic pathway between Sol and Sirius, using our rings to transcend lightspeed as is only possible in these narrow, non-Euclidian corridors (curved corridors).
More About the Blue-Skinned Oans
Wikipedia's "List of alien races in DC Comics" identifies the Maltusians as progenitors [ancestors] of the galaxy's oldest [fictional] alien races that include:
- Oans [aka the Guardians, mixed-sex in 2006]
- Zamarons [females who left their mates because immortals had no need to reproduce]
- Controllers [form interstellar peacekeepers, called the Darkstars, to compete with the Guardians' Green Lantern Corps]
Maltusians are from a fictitious planet called Maltus and they later migrate to a "new world called Oa."
Image: [above right] Renegade Maltusian scientist named Krona. Krona became obsessed with observing the origins of the universe despite an ancient legend that said discovering that secret would cause a great calamity.
Wikipedia's background information says that originally, all Oans were blue-skinned humanoids. Web images of Oans and Zamarons have blue-skin aliens but the Controllers' skin is pink. Background information says that the Controllers evolved into pink-skinned hairless aliens after billions of years.
Image: [right] The Zamarons were the female members of the race known as the Maltusians.
The blue-skinned Oans [right] were written into the plot of DC Comics'
Superman [Warner Brothers Animation, 1996-2000]. In an episode called "In Brightest Day...," the Oans approach Superman and ask him to help Kyle Rayner [one of five Green Lantern superheroes] defeat Sinestro [supervillain, DC universe].
In my next note, I will explain how one of ENKI's names is Oannes, a name that is very similar to Oan.
Convinced Yet? Your Help Is Still Needed
I would not still be writing notes about blue-skinned aliens if I thought that your help is not needed. I believe that God has put a dent in the Sirians plans for Earth but there are/were most likely billions here.
